Plastic surgeons analyze the impact of silicone Breast Implants – Survey asps market forecasts of silicone implants
American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) – Just over half of ASPS Member Surgeons predict they will perform up to 25 percent increases mammary over the next 12 months and that 40 percent or more of all patients will choose silicone Breast Implants. These other findings appear in a new report an American Society of Plastic Surgeons inquiry into the impact of the reintroduction of silicone implants.
Breast Augmentation is become the top cosmetic surgery procedure in 2006 with an increase of 13 percent compared to 2005. Supporting this trend is the fact that 71 percent of plastic surgeons perform, on average, more than five Breast Enhancement procedures a month. In addition, 75 percent expect a 3 to 10 percent of their patients at some time replace their existing saline implants for silicone for purely cosmetic reasons.

ASPS Member Surgeons are suitable implants safe, but some believe that their patients may still have concerns about their safety.
