How bad are the scars after Breast Implants?
Just wondering how bad are the scars after surgery? What was the process? How much money? Can easily become infected during the healing process? Anything else that can be added, would be greatly appreciated.
Healing After Breast Augmentation is usually quite good. The visibility depends on where you place the scar. Some surgeons place around the areola (the nipple bit color). This is well hidden, but it may be obvious if the scar is poor. The most common place is under the fold of the breast. The previous respondent is correct in that the scar will take a year or longer to "mature" (is that to get soft, flat and pale). However, there is no way known to man to get completely rid of scars. In most cases, healing becomes a thin white line that is almost invisible to naked eye in a year. The infection rate to increase the scars of the breast is about 1% and can usually be treated with a course of antibiotics. The best treatment for scars is moisturizing and massage at 2 weeks after the operation and keep them out of the sun.
